Product Description
Hot rolled steel plate is a type of steel that is rolled at high temperatures in a process known as hot rolling, in which the billet is heated to over 1000°C and then fed into a mill for rolling. Because the metal is in a state above its recrystallization temperature during hot rolling, the internal structure of the steel produced is altered to give it better ductility.
In terms of grade, hot rolled steel plates are usually categorized by thickness, including thin, medium, thick and extra thick plates. Classified by surface characteristics, it can be divided into galvanized sheet (hot-dip galvanized sheet, electro-galvanized sheet), tin-plated sheet, composite sheet and color-coated sheet. Despite its relatively low strength and poor surface quality (oxidation and low finish), hot rolled steel sheet has good plasticity. In contrast, the surface quality, appearance, dimensional accuracy of cold rolled steel plate is better than hot rolled plate, the general thickness is relatively small, and the thickness of the product can be rolled thin to about 0.18mm.
Hot rolled steel plate is widely used in many fields. Compared with cold rolled steel plate, hot rolled steel plate can be produced in large quantities, so its market price is relatively low.
